Why does my 2000 cavalier engine cuts out on the highway , but drives at low speed fine?

like its' not getting gas .but if you push the pedal down it goes

  1. great question that could be hundreds of things causing this get it to a shop and have it checked out tomorrow


  2. The service engine lamp should also be lit.Have that checked first.
