Why does my 3.5 briggs stall when it gets hot after about 20-30 minutes of mowing time?

  1. Check the air filter for starters. Second off, make sure there is enough oil in the mower. One thing to note is that if the grass is fairly high or wet, it can clog the area where the grass is spit out, and that will make your mower stall or die.
