  1. This is not really anything big of an issue. Its accually a good thing. You wont have to train your pup to only go when you let him on walks. Good job =)

  2. I guess I don't really see this as an issue.

  3. My fiance had a dog that would only go in his yard. She held her pee for over 8 hrs one night till he got home with her. Maybe he is too interested in all of the smells.

  4. I have a 6 month old german shepherd pup that does the same thing I usually take her after she has had a lot of water and after she goes potty you should give a lot of praise.

  5. he may just not like the out doors if he doesn't just buy pads on the ground and potty train him that way

  6. My 1 1/2 year old boxer does the same thing.  As soon as we get home from the park she makes a beeline for the backyard.  I think she has issues with "going" while on the leash...

Hey, at least you don't have to pick up after him ;)

  7. 2/3 of my dogs will not go potty during walks. Recently, though, my Pyr decided that he could pee while we were walking, kind of spur of the moment type of thing.

It's good that your dog will only go on his territory, I think it's kind of a submissive thing not to go during walks... or maybe he isn't old enough to mark.
