Why does my 5th guitar string break so much?

  1. Is this your first guitar?  I had that problem with my first guitar and found out it was because I was stringing it wrong.  Try taking it to a shop with a luthier, because there are any number of reasons why your strings break, for example, a warped neck or the wrong string gage, in addition to a simple stringing problem.


  2. It's not you, and it's not your strings. It's the bridge of the Warlock.  Found this comment from another user:

    "The worst thing I would say about this guitar was the bridge. To begin with no problems, however when I changed the strings the problem began. The bridge string saddles would literally cut through the strings within a few days of playing. I thought it may be just the string make howver I tried many other strings and it would still cut through them! Even a heavier guage will still be cut in half! I wouldn't recommend this guitar at all in this aspect. "
