When I let my 98 chevy blazer idle or stop at a stop sign, the ac system blows good and hard, but when I mash the gas and driving it does not blow as hard.

  1. yo man

  2. The system is operated by engine vacuum. Engine vacuum is low when the throttle mashed down. There is a vacuum reservoir and one way check valve to keep the vacuum to the A/C from dropping off, also a vacuum leak in that system could cause it. If you put your hand over the defrost vent you'll find that's where the cold air is going under accelleration.

  3. ac needs to be recharged?

  4. all s-10 do that. it is cuz u have less vacuum when push on the gas.  that is y they have that black ball on the hood that hold extra vacuum. it still is blowing out it is just coming out on the windshield

  5. if its vacuum controlled when the vacuum drops off the ac doors close some ac compressors are designed to go off on acceleration so the engine has more power less emissions

  6. because youre using power
