  1. You most likely have a bad pressure switch that is located on the accumulator on the passengers side by the firewall.

The next time that it does this just pull the connector on the switch and jumper the two wires or just tap the pressure switch with a small screwdriver to see it the A/C clutch will activate.

  2. they are low on freon, you have leaks which is quite normal.  You will need to replace the compressor most likely.

  3. I would need a little more info on your truck to really be able to help. When was the last time you took it in for service, last time you had the a/c belt changed, last time you had the refrigerant recharged, and also what are you referring to when you say "mainly when it is cold" is that the truck its self like just when you firs start the vehicle after its been sitting for at least 8 hours or is it when its cold outside, and one more question does it stay cold when you first start it for the whole day or only when you shut it off and turn it back on?

With the info you provided me sounds like it might be either the a/c belts, the refrigerant is low, the clutch might be going bad, your condenser might be bad.

  4. if the blower is not running check the switch that controls it
