Why does my Cool Pix Nikin camera say, 'Lense Error?' HOW DO I FIX IT?! ?

Question

I have a CoolPix Nikon Camera and every time i try to open it, it makes a repeatedly weird shutter noise, the lens base doesn't fully come out, and it says 'Lens Error.'

I got it new in the beginning of summer and i don't know if i should return it and get a new one or if one of you guys know how to fix something like this.

PLEASE HELP!

I had the same problem. The same thing happens to all of my cameras. I think you have to buy a new camera or contact a member of the store you bought it from and ask them if there is a way to fix it or a method of replacing the lens.
