Why does my D80 DSLR show a blue tint in some of the picture in manual mode? I use an 18-135 Nikon AF lens. I use the camera often and recently it seems like the camera has a blue shade to the picture. I think its because the f-stop is two high or something, I am not sure. I take the picture in middle of the day and when I look at the picture it has a fair amount of detail while not being to dark, but everything is with a deep blue shade. Can anyone help me with this or advice to some reading I can find about this subject?

  1. check your white balance. if its in manual mode that means it may not be right for whatever light your shooting in

  2. go Tu whiteblance and put the filter direct sunlight

    it will definitely help you

  3. As already said, it's your white balance. You probably have it set on 'tungsten' or 'indoor' mode. Standard light bulbs give off a yellow light so those settings compensate by making things more blue. If you're under white light (i.e. outdoors) then that blue will show up.
