Why does my Emerson HDTV make this popping sound?

For some reason it's starting to make a popping sound from the speakers. Why could this be? Nothing is plugged into the TV except a cable box.

  1. Because it's an Emerson.


  2. I have had the same problem..I have Comcast Cable.If you reboot the cable box the sound should go away.I have to reboot mine every couple of months or the popping comes back.If you do not know how to reboot call your cable company.
