  1. I can't tell you why, but you are not alone.  I had a German Shepherd that had an issue with black rocks in the water.  We lived on a creek and whenever we were down at the river she would dive and bring black rocks out.  Never figured out why she did not like them in there, or how she knew where the black ones were.  She didn't care about any other color.    We lived on acreage and she ran with me and played with the horses all day, so it wasn't boredom.  It was an obsession with wet black rocks.  :)  She was the best dog ever!

  2. My boston terrier is crazy about rocks. Whenever she sees one, she digs it up and gives it to us like a ball. She refuses to play with a normal toy. She often finds some in the garden, or where my mom has newly planted something. I would suggest giving her tennis balls or other hard toys.

  3. She is bored and needs to be exercised and walked once or twice

a day. Dogs dig when they are bored.

Does she have some toys to play with? Are they hard rubber toys that she can chew on without destroying them? Give her one of those

giant Kong toys and put a treat inside the hole. She will keep busy

trying to get the treat out.

Please exercise her regularly or she will start destroying things out

    of boredom.
