Question:

Why does my Guinea pig squeak so much?

My guinea pig will randomly start squeaking like something is wrong. Everytime he does I check to make sure his food and water is ok, and it usually is. Is it because he wants more attention from me?

Thanks. :)

  3. Guinea pigs are so social. It probably wants lap or floor time. It just wants a friend. Also, see if he's squeaking when you walk by the place you keep the food. Even when they have enough pellets and hay, they still want more, straight from the bag, for no good reason :) He might just be acting difficult. When he's squeaking, maybe it's a good time to take him out, give him some fresh veggies, and then have some floor time!

  4. most likely it wants your attention or it wants a treat because my mom had a guinea pig and when ever someone opened the refrigerator, it would start squeaking. Pay attention to what you're not doing when it squeaks that's your cue.

  5. they are not self oiled

    good luck
