My kitchen sink has 2 drain pipes , the main drain pipe has an offshoot pipe that acts as the main drain pipe. The 2 pipes separately go to the sewer pipe but both originate under the sink. I ran a snake completely through both drain pipes and my sink still wont drain properly. WHY?! Help please, my husband has been at this for over 12 hours and has had raw sewage come back at him and on our basement floor due and he had to tear a couple walls down to get to pipes....help before my house falls apart or my husband goes crazy trying to figure out why...THANKS! (Ha ha).

P.s. Vinegar and baking soda does nothing for this ( I use that concoction for many things but it does not work on this).

  1. Clearly your husband doesn't know what he's doing. You have a clog in the main line and it will require a power auger to unclog it. A company like Roto Rooter will have you going in an hour ( except for all the damage your husband has created ) .

  2. I am sure you have a grease build up inside your pipes.  You need a sewer snake to get rid of the problem.  Maybe a longer snake, and a different head on the end of the snake.

  3. If there's any way you can get a water hose down into the drain pipe then turn the water on and push and pull on the hose it would come unclogged. I don't know if you live in a house are not , but most place have a clean out that you can open up and unclog it from there.
