Why does my MS-WORD keep closing without giving me a chance to save file?

I know it must be a virus. How can I fix this problem. I appreciate your help.

Well, you can download an anti-virus software. I suggest avast home edition because its never failed me and its free. Just go to avast.com and download it then sign up for the free license after installation put the license in and scan- it will ask you to do a boot scan, so i suggest you do it. If a virus is not the problem then i also suggest reinstalling MS-Word/Office.
