I've had my phone for about a year and a half and it's really starting to confuse and annoy me. Two days ago I recharged it to full batteries. Then yesterday it needed to be recharged again. And just now it started beeping that its power was low. What's wrong with it? I barely ever use it.

  1. Because it's a Motorala, and not worth the plastic it's made from.

It's dieing, which seems to occur way too quick in Motorola phones. Back in the early days, they had grade A stuff, not any more. It's a shame really. Their recent lack of quality and lack of innovation since the first Razr came out has caused they're profit to drop substantially, and now they're in the financial crapper.

The "full discharge and full recharge or you battery won't last as long" thing is no longer true, unless you have an older nickel cadmium. Most likely you have a lithium ion, as do most phones now-days.

  2. well it get low battery cause they r knew phone i got a new phone and i was talking to my aunt and it got low battery dont leave it open 4 a long time it will discharge

  3. razr phones suck i am here to tell you i bought one brand new and plugged it up and it wouldn't even work i had to take it back twice and finally get a new phone, my sister has experienced problems with her razr phone too her buttons mess up!

  4. I can tell you, but you aren't going to like my answer.

Your phone is dying.  My mom, my husband and myself all had the same problem with our Razrs.   We thought it was the battery so we ran out and bought a brand new battery ($40) and it turns out it wasn't the battery, the phones just stop being about to charge the battery.  It only gets worse to the point that you can't use the phone unless it is plugged in.

My advice:  Start shopping for a new phone.  As far as my mechanically inclined friends can tell, there is nothing you can do to fix the phone.  Whatever you do, don't sink $40 into a battery you can't use because that isn't the problem!  Talk about insult to injury!

    Good luck!

  5. Because of the RAZR's slim design the battery is also need to be very thin, because of this it has less battery power and it results in needing to be charged more often. I have the LG Chocolate VX8550 and i barely use it, so i only have to charge it once a week. the design for my phone is thin but definetley not comparable to the RAZR. I believe the MOTOKRZR's battery life is a bit longer though if you're looking for a new phone. I would also check out the RAZR 2.0 but i cant reccomend it cuz i havent checked it out yet.

  6. RAZR Batteries don't last when charged too frequently (Goes with any "rechargeable" battery).

Every time you charge a rechargeable battery, it takes a little bit away from it's life.  If you're charging it when it's not discharged (E.g. charging it when it's got 2 out of 4 battery bars), then it takes away even more of the life.

So go to the phone store and get a new battery for it (It just pops into the back when you remove the back plate) and don't charge it until it's down to 1 bar.

  7. Mine has to be charged Every Single Night!!! But, my husband, who has the same darn phone, only charges his every few days. I've even had the batteries replaced on mine, and nothing has changed. Sorry, you and I just got crappy phone batteries!

  8. My phone was dying but I found out that if you don't completely discharge your battery it can not fully charge and so after multiple times of this it will hold a lesser charge each time. Go figure....technology
