I have a renault clio 1.4 T reg. It has started to occasionally speed up when take my foot off the accelerator, so if I am changing gear the revs scream. It happens at any speed and is random, although it does it more if the car has been stood for a while. Help! The garage doesn't know what is wrong!

  1. Probably the accelerator cable sticking due to being seized or kinked. WD40 required.

  2. The throttle body may be damaged, get it to the nearest Renault service centre (or in some case, a good shop with diagnostic machine) to get it checked.

  3. your accelerator is probably sticking

  4. renault clio, renault clio, renault clio let me go... bis millah noooo we will not let you go, bis millah will not let you go, let me go, we will not let you go.... bealzebub has a devil put aside for me.. for meeeeeeeeee

  5. Sounds like it needs a computer diagnostic check by a Renault dealer. Local independant garages dont often have the equipment to do this. You could ring for a quote.

  6. Your drive by wire is acting up , you will have to get this checked by a Renault dealer with the equipment to analyze this computer run system

  7. It sounds like it needs a squirt of WD40 around the carb.

  8. That doesnt sound good.

  9. Woa that sounds dangerous!

  10. A friend of mine had the same problem with his VW Golf.

It`s a simple fix, you need to pop the bonnet and check around the engine block for Gremlins. They don`t like sunlight, so just do it during the day and drag that little ***** on outta there. Don`t get it wet though for gods sake, you`ll have an epidemic on your hands.
