I downloaded custom content yesterday from Sims 2.com. After downloading most of what I have I went onto my Sims 2 game which is also hooked up with Sims 2 University and I went to make a family and everything was there, perfectly working. It didn't crash at all. I quit the game went back on the computer to download more content and when I wanted to go back on my game it crashed at the second to last loading bar. It came up "This programm will now terminate." I don't get it though. It worked fine before. It isn't my computer, I know that. Also, I downloaded content that I had the games for. What is the problem? Please help.

  1. i had that problem at one time. I had to installl and re-install the game a few times. Then it was alright.

  2. It's the reason i don't play mine... and it just sucks!

I currently have life stories, however have sims 2 also...

The game is just built to be such a big program a lot of our computers cant handle it... You may need to upgrade your media drive? I think thats it.. also google the issue.. there is a code you can put in to help you. it will basically downgrade the images and what not.. so it doesnt use up so much...

    it sucks..

  3. Best guess is that it's a problem with the custom content.

Try running the game with the customer content disabled (or moving the Downloads folder so the game can't find it).
