  1. faulty line or equipment? call up sky, and tell them. but try tomo cuz line are closed i think. you can email but they might take 3-5 days to reply.

  2. ASSUMING YOU ARE IN THE UK:

It will be your phoneline. You got to report the fault. It will be fixed by an engineer in the local telephone exchange.. but BT faults will be able to track  & TELL YOU how often the connection is breaking.. only very occasionally is it the router & I think if it were  then it would have died by now.. so I doubt it.  BT maintain all lines but as you are with Sky I don't know the protocol.  Sky  possibly must request BT engineers check your line.. but try calling 151 (faults BT)  see how you get on.  BT will advise.

  3. Check that you have a filter on EVERY phone/appliance in the house if you have extensions.

  4. make sure the hub and the cables are all plugged in and check to see it any are damaged. or call sky an ask them for help.

  5. I had the same problem with virgin. The netgear router has a built in firewall which conflicts with your existing antirus and firewall software. You need to contact either sky or netgear and get the site to change the router settings. Although everything has to be done by internet evry router has its own address so I can't help you with that but good luck. This solved my problem straight away

  6. The most logical solution would be to contact sky and tell them your problems. Sounds like faulty hardware and/or phone line, or even wiring. Sky should arrange to send a man out to investigate
