Why does my TV make a high pitched SCREAM?

there is nuthin around it (speakers or electronics) and not damaged? what is up ?? I can't stand the high screamin...

Our old TV did that for a while before the screen, like, exploded. Well, it didn't really, but it finally make this "KAPOW" noise and then there was a burning plastic smell, and it didn't work anymore.

I sympathize with you, that high-pitched whine really got on my nerves, and my mom thought I was nuts because she couldn't hear it...
