My Uvula(dangling bit at back of throat) swells when i drink alcohol?

Mainly when i drink about half a pint of vodka or more, within a quick period.

I have had my tonsils removed 10(ten) years ago, does this have anything to do with it.

Usually i have an ice lolly to get rid of the swelling.

  1. If yolu feel that your Uvula is swelling due to the Vodka, i would advice you to check the ingredientys of the Vodka, may be you are allergic to any of the ingredients userd in this alcoholic drink.

  2. Sometimes, the mucous membrane around the uvula may swell, causing the uula to expand 3-5 times its normal size.

excessive smoking can be the cause of swollen Uvula. Other prominent causes are dehydration and snoring, and allergic reactions. You should check the ingredients of the vodka to see whether you have an allergy to any of those ingredients

  3. i'd like to point a finger, the finger is pointed at the pharmaceutical industries (western). these people should, would, could ($), find an over the counter medicine to help all the swangly dangly uvulas.
