Why does my Wii look bad on my plasma tv? I have the HD cables but the picture has sharp edges everywhere?

The picture has great color but has a lot of sharp edges What do I need to change? The wii setting is on HD cables already... The TV is a year old and the wii 2 monthhs old

That's how the Wii will look on any HDTV.  The Wii is not HD like the 360 and PS3.  The Wii is standard definition.  The max output of a Wii is 480P.  HDTV's output either 720p, 1080i, or 1080p.  When you scale something that is low resolution (wii) to a high resolution (your tv), you will see all the jaggies.  If you took a ps2, gamecube or any other standard definition console and hook it up to your tv, they will all be full of jaggies even if you are using component cables.  The HD cables for the wii are component cables and will probably give you a better picture than the standard wii cables, but the picture still isn't HD.
