Why does my Yahoo! domain cost $12.95 (next year) instead of $9.95?

Question

I bought a yahoo! domain for just US$1.99 (it was from a promo that still runs today). Originally the domain is worth $9.99. But my account says that I will pay $12.99 for next year! I'm pretty that it wasn't stated in the contract.

yahoo is trying to recoop the millions of dollars that microsoft decided not to give to them.
