Why does my _____mates are having?

My schoolmates at Florida school are just about too young....they're 10 to 13. And I always heard that...oh you know this guy...this girl has a boyfriend now and this guy is dating this girl....

Why does my schoolmates are having boyfriends and girlfriends now even though they are still in the age of 10-14?help?

From my experience, people around that age think that having "girlfriends" and "boyfriends" is mature and "cool", and serve as bragging rights. Again, from my experience, most of them do not stay together, and eventually grow out of that belief.

I've known lots of people who started early, it's up to them if they think they're ready.  With what, exactly, do you need help?
