  1. its called baby radar. mommies little girl.

  2. My baby girl will stop kicking if anyone reaches for my tummy, if I say anything to get anyone's attention as well.

If I am laying there and she's got my tummy moving all about and I turn the video cam on she stops as soon as I hit record. I turn the camera off she starts up again. I start recording she stops. I would swear she can see.

Mind you I considered that maybe my moving or speaking may make her stop. But I keep the camera on the night stand so all I have to do is move my arm lol.

  3. My baby did that through the whole pregnancy. No reason, just how they are :)

  4. Yes, this happens to me all the time. I'm  struggling at 41 weeks and the father has not felt the baby move yet. I put his hand on the spot that the baby is kicking and then the baby will kick somewhere else. It never fails. My son and one of my friends are the only 2 other people that have felt my baby move.

  5. haha - you have a little Michigan J. Frog!!

  6. Thats so funny actually, I am 28 weeks pregnant and I get so excited everytime he moves. I am always like he is moving and people will come over to feel him then he just stops. I asked my doctor about it just to see and she actually said that it is possible when people touch our stomach it makes us tense up a little bit and the baby stops moving because of that. Try laying down and having someone put their hand on your stomach for a few minutes. Thats what I did and finally my boyfriend could feel him move...goodluck and congrats!!

  7. yeah she is just being stubborn and shy. haha it happens alot!

  8. My daughter does the same thing. It's really kind of funny. My husband got so frustrated because he couldn't feel her moving that he acted like he was leaving.. "Bye, honey! Going to work! See you later!" and stomped like he was walking out the door and tiptoed back to where I was sitting. He felt her then. So she got tricked! But he was really excited to finally feel her. I think it made it more real for him.

  9. Hehehe yeah my little devil used to do the same thing. Or she'd go the opposite and wouldn't kick for me but would for anyone else. Even now at 35 wks even though others can clearly see her moving, she often goes quiet when someone else touches. Maybe just an instinct???

  10. Some Babies are just shy. Try having them talk to the baby. Say something like "Hi Baby, this is daddy. I just want to see how you're doing. How ya doing baby??" or something like that. You could also have them read or sing to the baby. Once the baby gets used to their presence and voice, it might begin to recognize them more and not feel so shy.

Congratulations and I hope all goes well!
