Why does my bird cratch his head with his legs while his mouth is open?

is this bad? sometimes he scratches his face with his mouth closed too.

  1. Its normal. My parakeet opens its mouth 2. Its like telling another parakeet to scratch his/her head. Sometimes they let even humans scratch their heads. Hope that helped.


  2. My cockatiel does that too.  It's nothing to worry about.
