Why does my blackberry 8800 turn off on its own all the time ?

the little red light comes on then it goes to a screen with an hourglass thing and does that for about 5 min. it does it over and over again. the battery isnt low -- so whats wrong with it ?

try searching some answered forums and see what you can come up with.

if nothing else and you purchased from a local wireless store then go in and tell them your problem.  if they can find the problem then they can fix the problem.. may even send it back and send you a new one.

Did you open it out of the box and it did that?

Sounds like a Java Issue. Have you tried re-installing the OS? What happens when you plug it in to the computer?

Try pluggin' her in there, see what happens. If nothing happens, and you have given it a while to boot up, do what the above comment says and take it back to the store. If its new, they'll issue you a new one on the spot.
