  1. That's your problem changing the prop to a right hand rotation> It torques to the right that's why they had a counter rotation prop> Who's idea was this> Changing the linkage & control box linkage>This was the out come>Volvo out drives can run either direction>  For the 1s that don't know>

  2. 45 cal has got it right. You've got inconsistant torque applied at the prop.

  3. It's the prop.  The torque of a right hand prop is opposite because it's pushing down on the water as it turns clockwise, this in turn causes the boat to list to the left.  The reason Volvo uses a left rotation prop is to lessen the right hand rotational force of the clockwise rotation of the engine.  If you also increased the pitch this would increase the torque.  Also, you might need to adjust the trim tab, but I'd trade in your right hand for a left hand prop, and change the shift back.  and make sure the trim tab is set.  Good luck!!!!!!!

  4. Maybe a lighter girlfriend in the left seat would make a difference.

  5. Hold on, you put a right hand prop on a left hand gearbox?

Something ain't right here -- the boat should be going backwards, unless you put the prop on backwards in which case it will never run right.

Unless by "prop" you mean the whole gearbox.

In which case, the boat lists left because the propshaft is rotating clockwise, and Newton's third law demands that the boat compensate by listing to port.

  6. Re set you trim tab. It had been running left and now it,s running right. Not to worry bout reverse rotation- If they didn't want you to do it, they wouldn't have made it so easy to do.
