Why does my brother not like me?

Question

Ok so he is always ignoring me. And he is rude too me every day. and when i try to talk to him like if i ask him a question he just says yes or no in a irritated tone. and the other day i came home from a concert and i was telling him something and he was just getting ready to leave and he just walked out the door when i was talking!

and my sis saw this. every time i try to talk to my mom she just doesnt care and says it is his hormones. and like today i wanna buy this $7 dollar book so i asked him to borrow $2 cuz thats all i needed. and he is like "No maxie" vb he will let his friends borrow money when they need it. and he is always mean to me. for intstance his best friend britney's lil sis is 15 and he will drive her anywhere and take her and her sis places. but he never takes me anywhere. and he still thinks im 11

yeah i had the same problem too. me and my brother was never close. to him, me and my sister never existed. we never talked or anything. the only time we "talked" was when he was scolding us. he too wud treat my cousin sisters and frens like the sisters he never had. spending on them, taking them out, talking with them and all. slowly me and my sister were so distance away from him it was like we 3 were strangers. then over the years, as me, my sister and brother grew older, we became more closer. i don't know when but we started to talk, share our problems and discussed bout everything incl boys. now he's married with a daughter and we're still close. we can talk to him bout everything. so don't fret. give it time. don't be too concern or have so many, why don't he like me or why don't he this and that. eventually he will realise that u're not a small kid but a grown person and open up to you, accept you and be the brother u've always longed for. Hopefully

Your brother dislikes you because its a natural tendency but now he is propably going though a hard time or something. my suggestion is that you start being truly nice to him and respect him.

A lot of people's brothers can go through a phase like this, it is normal for his age so don't worry.

Back off from him - show more independence - he will see a new you and probably be a bit more reasonable towards you.

It's tough love lol. It's the same with my sister and I as well. I sometimes ignore her and vice versa. Assuming you live in the same household, you kinda get sick at staring at your sibling all day. Don't worry, he'll come around.

Its very possible that he is sexually attracted to you, and m*********s while thinking aoubout you, so to make up for it he gets plain mad, because he doesnt know what else to do. I would watch out for him. He might make a move sometime

Wowww...the way i would have handled this situation would have been to ignore him...seeing that he doesn't want to talk would make me ignore him like he is not there...let him feel like he's the bad one trust me it wont feel good to be ignored just don't deal with him
