Why does my bt hub keep switching it self off every 5 mins?

I had this problem..reported it to BT and they sent me a new hub.

Apparently this is 1st sign of serious trouble with it.

If you're still in contract with them they'll send one out within a few days....if you're out of contract tell them you'll go to a new supplier and they'll promise you anything just to keep you!

do you have it on a extension lead , if so that could be the cause, i had the same problem.
