  1. Is the bird talking on an aggressive stance (trying to stay from the other budgie, head out looking like its going to bite the other one) or is it a more nurturing stance (trying to get close to the other budgie, relaxed position)

The way you are describing the beak moving COULD be a weaning behaviour- when birds want to be fed by their parents they open and close their beak and move their head back and forward. It could be that your budgie is warming up to its friend by performing this behaviour. I have a 2yo GCC that still does this when he wants attention, and will happily play with my finger instead of food!

If the bird is more aggressive it it might be a good idea to keep it in a seperate cage for a while- put the two cages next to each other and introduce the birds slowly- most budgies love sharing a cage, though.

  2. territorial issues. anger/agression. introductions should be done at a much slower pace in separate cages. one to ease the birds into the new arrivals and into accepting them into their territory. best wish on however you do this. good luck. :)

  3. well i have two of them too and they do that its kinda like there saying get away and are scared....
