I put a small container with water for him and he tips it over. I put a piece of sycamore bark in there with a drawing I made and it seemed like it disappeared but it was stuck on the ceiling of his cage! he did that lol

  1. because bunnies like to play. =)

i would get one of the water feeders that connects to the cage so it wont tip over the water.

  2. I rescued a very large rabbit from a pet store, they had him in a small cage and the owner was angry b/c this rabbit kept throwing EVERYTHING out of the cage.

Turns out the rabbit was bored, angry, and cramped in there and was showing his frustration.

Your rabbit's cage may be too small for him and he's trying to show you how mad he is by dumping things over.

If you're able to, I ended up making my rabbit a house rabbit, you might be able to too.

First, bunny-proof the house (tie up cords, get little things off the floor he could eat on accident, put potentially poisonous plants high enough he can't eat them, etc etc)

Second, Look at where he goes to the bathroom the most in the cage, and put a little litter box in there.  (Use the cat's pride clumping litter...it's proven not to harm rabbits with the clay in it)  After he gets used to going in the little box, put a couple little boxes around the house (rabbits need more litter boxes than cats, unfortunately)

Once you get him litter box trained, he can hop around the house freely, use the litter box when he wants, and then when he gets back in his cage (I'd put mine back up at night so he wouldn't get hurt while we slept) he'll be calmer (and hopefully worn out!)

Made such a world of difference for my house bunny.

Lots of other information can be found if you google "House Rabbit Society" it's a group of people that post lots of info on house rabbits, have forums dedicated to rabbits, and even answer behavour problem questions with rabbits!

    Good Luck

  3. Because your bunny's cage is it's territory and it does not want anything else to be in it. He wants to have it all to himself.

  4. Rabbits like to throw things. Give them lots of toys to fling and heavier food crocks.

  5. Either you bunny is very territorial and does not want his small space invaded, or he is really bored. To get him to stop this behavior try getting him a toy of some sort. I would suggest an inexpensive plastic cat toy with a bell in it. It should keep him entertained, so he will quit trying to dump his water bowl or what ever else. If he tries to push that toy out of his cage...I guess just give him his space.
