  1. Bring it to a Batteries Plus store ( http://www.batteriesplus.com )

They should  be able to figure out if there is anything wrong with your camera or recommend a better type of battery

  2. Try NiMH rechargeables, or Lithium Ion batteries.

Regular alkaline, even Duracell, batteries get the life sucked out of them by high draw devices, like digi cams.

    Good luck, and TRUST ME!

HP digi cams are also little battery vampires...Canon is the way to go!

  3. I'm going to go ahead and guess it;'s a Samsung?

I have one and it eats battery like a *****.

I usually use Duracell batteries, they seems to make it work a bit longer.

If not, and no other brand of battery seems to work and you've tried rechargeable ones, write a letter of complaint to the company. they usually get results.

  4. Is it a Kodak? Are the batteries rechargeable? Do you use regular batteries or special batteries/battery packs.

I had the same  problem  with a Kodak digital camera. But you should not use a regular battery. You need for most camera's the battery that has a higher amperage. Also the use of flash is important as that uses a lot of the power. And of course there can be a defect in the meter and you get a wrong reading. You can verify that by taking out the batteries and put them in a battery tester. Also a possible short in the cam can drain the batteries and last I can think of is some moisture  in the battery compartment. Most difficult things to verify yourself. I think you should make use of your warranty and have it checked.
