Why does my camera do this?

Often, my camera (Kodak EasyShare) won't turn off and will show a flashing red light. However if I shake the batteries or the camera, it usually works again. This happens quite often, even when the batteries haven't run out. Why does my camera do this?

That sounds like it's defective. You should probably have it looked at by a camera repair place. Or if it has some sort of manufactures warranty you might want to send it to Kodak

Because it's a Kodak. Kodak = POS. They should have stuck to making film. And in a few years, they'll be nothing but a fond memory.
