I bought this camera with a broken lens and replaced it. however now when i turn it on the lcd screen shows all the basic info such as battery life and flash but no image. After leaving the camera on for a few minutes the image slowly fades in and eventually I can even take a perfect picture. Anybody have any idea whats wrong. It seems to me that it has to be something between the lens and the part of the camera that transmitis what the lens is viewing to the part of the camre that displays and records it.

  1. What kind and model camera is it?

You may want to take it into a camera repair shop and have the look at it.

  2. Hi Luke,

Your LCD screen is going out.   It is working slowly now,  but in the near future,  it will quit working completely.    You should take it in to a camera repair shop and ask the tech to evaluate the damage and give you an estimate of the repairs.    If it were me, however,  I would not keep throwing good money into a probem camera.  LCD's are not cheap... and it might be better to just put your money into a new camera without all of these issues.
