I have an 03 HONDA Civic Hybrid and whenever I'm in traffic, slowing down for a turn, etc, and i accelerate, it jerks A LOT to the point where people start looking. i don't even apply a lot of pressure on the gas. What could be the problem? I just had the computer updated and main battery replaced. Is it normal for my car to jerk too much? it didn't do it before. Please help.

  1. You might have a problem wıth the electric motor since it works as a generator during braking and it is the main power unit for acceleration in slow traffic. My second guess would be the mulfunctioning main current regulator.

  2. Electric motor needs to be checked, your engine speed sensor also needs checking too!

  3. that could be a million things, seriously. It could be a badly warped driveshaft, loose tranny mounts, loose motor mounts, out of balanced tires, loose strut mounts, etc...just to name a few things..good luck!
