Why does my car pop out of gear making sharp left turns?

I have a 99 hyundai tiburon...i have been driving it for about 5k miles now with no problems..it popped out of gear maybe once or twice without knowing the cause before long ago. Today I changed my front/back brake pads added coolant/oil and that was it. Now everywhere i go when i make a left turn my car kicks out of gear completely. please help..

  1. you should bring your car to the dealership and have them look at it. It seems like a big problem you can;t drive that car. It;s dangerous.


  2. You might have a bad engine mount,or bad transmission mount,causing loose alignment in the shifter to hit the body,or you have a worn out shifter good luck.

  3. I'm guessing the shifter is moving to neutral....if not....then it may be low on transmission fluid. Make sure it is full. If it is popping out of gear from the shifter moving....it sounds like you have a bad or broken motor mount or transmission mount. They are cheap and easy to replace. Check up under you car to see if any of them look bad.
