Why does my car sometimes give trouble starting but mostly its fine?

it is a skoda favorit with automatic choke and monotronic injection system ihave a feeling its to do with this but I'm not sure,the other thing it does is while you 're driving every so often the accelerator pedal will move towards floor without my touchin g it and engine will rev on its own to stop it i normally push even harder to rev even more then it seems to catch itself and calm down ,any ideas?are they related problems?

1. It is probably all one problem.

2. It is probably the Management System not telling the ECU to function as it should do for the required temperature.
