Why does my car stereo stop playing music?

Question

Every time power is shut from the stereo, either by turning the car off or just hitting the power button, I don't get any sound. there is still power getting to the stereo, but I have to unhook the speaker wire harness from the back of the stereo and hook it back up again to have sound. Please can anyone help me.

you probably need to rewire it.

the only tthing i could say is prolly your harness is loose....depending on the radio i know circuit city sells harnesses for jvc pioneer sony ecelipse jensen and best buy should have brands like alpine and kenwood
