Why does my car stop and shake ???

See if you need new spark plugs.  I had a problem like that and when the spark plugs were replaced the problem went away.

I will tell you exactly why.  Either your motor mount is loose or it has broken.  The motor mount is basically a bracket, or clamp that holds your motor in place.  Basically, this is one of those parts, that if not fixed, will, not maybe, but will cause damage to your engine.  And anything can be damaged from that shaking.  If you have it replaced now, it will not be very expensive, but if you wait, you WILL be looking at a larger repair bill.
