  1. to be honest, i dont think there is a way around it. i have two 12 in my car and when i turn them up just even half way you can visably see the car shake. in a way try to take it as a compliment, you must have some pretty bad *** subs for it to rattle your car. yes sound dampening stuff will help a little but i dont know one car with subs tha does not rattle, go to youtube and check out subs, every video shows the car trunks coming apart. and if it ratttles to the point where you think it sounds like c**p, open your windows and people will hear the bass more then the rattle.

  2. because your volume is too loud. turn down your volume.

  3. It's called resonance.  Everything, and I mean everything, has a resonant frequency.  That is to say, everything has a particular frequency at which it will vibrate naturally.  If you play the right frequency, a very high frequency, with enough amplitude, you can break glass.  If you play the right frequency, a very low frequency, with enough amplitude, you can bring a building crumbling down.  Yes, that is true.  So your trunk lid rattles in part because your subs are very likely playing the resonant frequency of your trunk lid and with enough force that it's vibrating.  It's also due in part fo the fact that subs move a lot of air.  So even at frequencies that are not your trunk lids resonant frequency, the subs are moving enough are to interact with the structural integrity of your trunk regardless.  There are basically two things you can do to stop the rattling.

#1  Change the resonant frequency of your trunk lid with a ton of sound deadening, expanding foam, bracing, etc.

    #2  TURN THE VOLUME DOWN!

  4. Try turning the volume k**b to the left.

  5. TURN THAT c**p DOWN!! IF YOUR CAR IS VIBRATING SO ARE MY EARS!

  6. Try some dynamat for sound dampining  a cheaper way is to find an old blanket and fold it in half, and s***w it to your trunk lid

(inside of course) this will give the sound some place soft to bounce off.

  7. replace the trunk lid

  8. Because of the low frequencies, Subs. Avoid the rattle, turn  up the volumne!
