Why does my cat's fur shed near her tail?

No rash. Just a balding spot. No cat doors for it to rub on.

This could be all sorts of things. If she is not having any other symptoms them I would just wait and see. If any thing else is happening I would evaluate and decide. If it appears to be a health problem then make that appointment.

B.) Allergic to something in your home

C.) Have irritated skin making it scratch.

My cat always scratches her tail a lot in the winter because her skin gets dryer than it does in the summer. If it gets really bad, take her to the vet.
