  1. some cats don't like to be held. over time this might change.

  2. Some cats just don't like to be held. He may get over it if you show consistent patience and love. He doesn't do it to be mean or unappreciative.  Who knows what his life experience was before he came to you? Whatever you do, please don't punish him or ignore him for any reason.  Kitties need love, even if it is only the knowledge that there will always be food, water, and a cozy place to nap.  Perhaps he needs a buddy!  Cat rescues are a great place to find a great companion for Mr. Felix!

  3. that wont be a problem for long it prob has to much energy and needs to walk... get it a wheel like hamsters

  4. Cats have their own personalities & act different than the next cat.

I have some that love to chill with me and sit on my lap, some others like to be off to themselves doing their own thing.

They'll create bonds with one and purposely avoid or fight with others.

They're just very particular animals who like people, sometimes want their own personal space.

  5. Cats are strange creatures sometimes.....most of the time they only want to be loved and held on their terms. My cat has actually hissed at me before if I tried to pick her up, but then when she's ready for some affection she will come to me and be the sweetest thing in the world. It's just how they are. Just be sure to put him down as soon as he acts like he wants down, or he might lose his trust for you. Let him come to you.

  6. it may be in how you are holding the cat i know alot of things dont like to be held a certian way. and the cat may just be getting tired of the attn.

  7. Some cats just hate being held for whatever reason. Sometimes this changes over time sometimes it doesn't. There isn't a great deal you can do about it unfortunately just accept that's the way he is. I have a cat that hates being held or touched at all, until you are laying down then she is all over you it's very weird. You can try picking the cat up and sitting down with him and giving hima treat as soon as you do (but don't hold him, if he jumps away just let him go) I've found that after doing this repeatedly and it does take time, eventually some of them will get to a point where they will come sit on your knee, but still hate being picked up. It can't hurt to try but it by nio means guarantees that anything will change. Although just re reading your question you said he doesn't like it anymore. If he previously liked it and has just recently changed he could be sore somewhere from a fight or something or he may have had a fright or been hurt by someone else picking him, if so just be patient he may go back to his old ways. Check him over for any injuries or sore spots that may neeed veterinary attention but otherwise it might just be his new "grown up" personality cats are funny creatures
