I found this cat starved to death almost. My family and I took it in and it made a great house cat. Yesterday, I found another kitten, and my cat tried to kill it.

  1. your cat is probably just jealous lol

  2. it is either moody or it was being protective

  3. your cat may have rabies.

  4. I guess it's all part of their natural instincts. It's either that your cat is hungry and was trying to eat the kitten which is ridicoulous because you're feeding the cat already!

Another theory is that your cat is just hunting or isn't too use to seeing other animals. My cat is in an indoor Bengal cat and every so often, I take him outside for him to play. He likes to chase bugs and birds. Once he was so lucky to almost catch a rabbit! Really anything that moves that isn't a human, my cat tries to attack it. LOL.

Or another theory is that your cat is jealous that you may take better care of the other kitten and he's scared you'll forget about him or wouldn't love him as much/no more. It's totally your choice what the reason is. Or he just doesn't like other animals.

    Have a nice day!

  5. just because,  i mean do you like everyone you meet?  i don't like cats myself.  i never met a cat that i liked, really.  i know they make me feel uncomfortable because i am allergic to them.  the only cats i get a charge out of are the large cats, like lions, panthers, tigers...

so, your older cat is just a stinker, and doesn't like other animals much. probably because before you found it, it nearly starved because other animals were stronger or faster or smarter and that is why she was starving.  she is holding a resentment or a fear.

  6. I have had 2 cats for like 2 years, my first one i had for about 3, but when i got my other cat for my birthday, she pretty much did the same thing.

You see, cats are jealous of anything they think will get more attention than them.

Here is what i think you should do about it:

    1. Get some toys, or a rug or anything that will catch smell of the other cat. (do this for both cats)

    2. put the cats in two different places of the house for about a week, don't let them see each other.

    3. when the cats are totally apart, put the toys and stuff of the new kitten and put it where ever the other cat is, and put the stuff from the other cat in the kittens part of the house.

    4. Watch the cats, and maybe even take notes on how the cats react when they smell the scent, if they smell it a lot and stuff, thats good, because then they will be getting used to the smell of the other cat.

if that doesn't help, maybe the starved cat was just hungry and tried out cannibalism =]]]]]

I'm only 12, so cut me some slack this is all i could think of :P
