Is it normal for a cat to have a protruding belly? I wouldn't say he is fat in general, but when you feel his underside, there us a big bulge going from just below his front legs to just above his back legs. I just noticed it fairly recently. Does this just mean he has a fat belly or can it mean something else?

  1. Maybe you are over feeding him!!!!!

  2. if ur cat is female, check or take her to vet to see if she is pregnant. who knows? the big bulge u feel might be one of her kitten inside. if she has changed her attitude, or eating more these days will insure u taht she is pregnant.

  3. worms probally

  4. Take him to the vet for a check-up "just in case".

  5. Could be sooo many things.  I would seriously have a vet check it out.  Especially since it just appeared.  Does he appear healthy otherwise?  You could be describing anything from a fat pad to a hernia to FIP.

Good Luck, Hope it is nothing. :)
