Why does my cat have four ears?

Hello, I'm not trying to be funny and saying the truth. Why does my Cat have 2 normal ears and 2 more ears inside it's ears? But they are underdeveloped. A very affectionate Cat i love him and pleasure to be around. He was a stray Cat and we got him from a friend. After my sweet heart dog died due to cancer at 14.

I never asked before and it really is not too noticeable as they are underdeveloped. He also had weird set of teeth that if it were a human needed braces. Otherwise he looks like a normal Cat and stuff and acts like one.

He sounds as pretty as my half bald cat which has dandruff lol!!  I have no idea about his ears and teeth, but its these little quirks that make the all the more special.

its probly a birth defect some have no tails, to manny toes and the list goes on but he sounds to cute and very special.enjoy your little one and sorry to hear about your dog so sad

My cat has four fangs which is abit scary. When we took him in to the vets for his er-hem operation, we thought they would take them out, assuming they were his baby teeth that hadn't dropped out yet. The vet said they were all four adult teeth and if they weren't causing him problems, just to leave them there. When he's naughty we threaten him with cat circus.
