Why does my cat keep peeing?

I got a cat from the kitty shelter a few weeks ago, at first he was really good and didn't pee anywhere, but now he keeps peeing, but he only really pees in one room, when he does pee i rub his nose in it and he always has clean litter,

He is spraying its what male cats do if they don't get neutured early enough.

He may not like the feel or smell of the litter. You need to ask a vet and determine whether its behavioral, or medical. Cats are prone to urinary tract infections too. He could be pretty uncomfortable. Or like my friends cat, he would pee on the counter because he liked the smooth feeling and the litter was scratchy... This is what her vet told her, and they find it to be pretty common.

it is kinda natural for male cats to mark there territory. to stop this u will have to spay him.

a cat will pee where they smell pee also, so the reason ur cat wont stop peeing is probobly because he can smell pee in that room. i have found a remedy online to get read of the smell so ur cat wont pee there anymore. just google cat pee remedy recipe and u will be able to find it.

Your little kitty could have a bladder infection that might be easily cured if you take him to the vet. Is it possible he hasn't been trained to use a litter box? Most cats know automatically, but some might need some help.Don't let him in that room where he is peeing, at least for now.Close the door.Put him in the bathroom with his litter box. Don't leave him there all day, but when you aren't around, so he doesn't mess the house. Putting his nose in it doesn't do much good. Just try to be patient. But make sure he doesn't have an infection. Good luck!
