Why does my cats always sleep on the clean laundry?

There are better places for him to sleep. It's not just mine he sleeps on some of the guests too.

Cats can tell when the laundry is clean and they like the smell i think... but they do this to mine too haha, they lay on the towels, but i think you just have to put something over it, like an old towel.

Is it fresh from the dryer? Most cats like to sit in warm places. Otherwise, cat like to be elevated. If there is a sheet of paper on the floor, that is exactly where my cat wants to be, even to be .008 inches off the floor.

kitty1(approaching clothes basket): mmm, look at this. a warm, clean, soft pile of clothes.

kitty2 (running up behind kitty1): ooh, and look! I'm a black cat and it looks like the whites were done today!

kitty1 (stretching out on the clothes): Aah, this is comfy. And it smells so nice!

kitty 2 (lying down next to kitty1): Yeah, this is the life.

(both cats fall asleep, purring loudly)

My kitty does the same thing. They just enjoy to sleep on clean cloths it makes them happy.

That's funny- mine does too. She has her own little bed & she still sleeps on the laundry. Do you think it's so they can put their scent on it? Claim their territory?

I just washed her little bed & she still goes for the clean clothes- maybe because our scent is still on it & she wants to be close to us?
