  1. You need to put more gas in it .

  2. Sounds like it is running lean.  Either an air leak or not enough fuel.  My best guess is the carb needs to be cleaned and rebuilt.  If ajusting the high and low speed jets doesn't help and you don't have any loose fasteners or damage around the intake(between the carb and the engine) I would recommend rebuilding the carb.  It is an easy job and the kit is only about $15.00.  Also there is a filter in the fuel tank.  Make sure that is clean also.  The diaphrams in the carb are also the fuel pump.  As they age and deform they are less efficient.  The kit will replace them.  You can get the kit at any small engine repair shop.

  3. Probably your fuel filter is getting clogged.

  4. fuel filter cloging, plug fouling out, air filter cloged, gas cap on toooooo tight, not letting air in, chain too tight,

thats why i went to electric, lol

  5. could be your low idle needle, gum at the botmm of resivoir if not stored  properly over extended periods, not the correct

oil mixture.too little can cause it to cease due to friction and heat. too much can clog the air filter

  6. It may just need a tune-up. Ionce had one that had a broken piston ring. It ran great for a few minuets and quit till it cooled enough to crank again. I sold it to a pawn shop, and bought a new one.

  7. sounds like the choke.  Make sure you "un-choke" it after you start it
