every night at like 9:30 or 10 my bird does this chirp and he just keeps doing it over and over for a good 10 mins. (no exaggeration) I dont know why he does this. No one is near him, even if someone IS near his cage he still does this the same time every night. what does this mean?

  1. Maybe he wants to go to sleep?  If I get busy, my cockatiels lets me know every night between 8:30 and 9:00 that they are ready for sleep by constantly chirping until I come and put them to bed. What kind of schedule do you have your bird on? They need at least 10 solid hours of undisturbed sleep a night, some vets say even 12 is best. Is he molting? They need more sleep, 14-16 hours when they are molting because they store their protein in their feathers and when they lose their feathers they lose an enormous amount of energy. Your bird is probably just very tired and wants to go to sleep. 10 o'clock sounds pretty late for a bird to be awake.

when they all settle down to sleep they do that :)
