  1. For the same reason you probably don't

sleep in a bunk bed. Or do you?

  2. dear friend your cocktiel may be sick because  cocktiels are  very clever at hideing the sickness and it is very rare for tiels to sleep on the floor how old is the bird how long have u had it?

check for enything in its nostrol

you get heaps of information on cocktiel cottage

    good luck!

  3. Birds only do that when they are sick and may die.

  4. It's OK, at least it is for mine.  Just check him out and make sure you don't see anything abnormal, anything, even his eating habits,or any unusual changes.  My bird slept on his perch for years and then just changed his ways and slept on the bottom for many, many years. I added layers of clean paper toweling where he stood just to make sure his feet would never get cold from the metal and that it would be cushioned.  He used the same corner every night along side a small mirror.  He had a family and he outlived them all.  He has been without them for about 10 yrs, and still he is the happiest guy around.   He recently became blind in one eye and legally blind in the other (poor guy), so he prefers to stay on one of his perches again these days when he goes to bed. He was never locked up in his cage. He knows his area in and out, he will be 30 yrs old this March 2009!!!  I love him so much!

  6. It is dieing probaly and i would see a vet..... Anything abnormal i would see vet straight away
