My computer freezes everytime I do a system recovery, I leave it on for 2 days and it's still stuck on the same screen. I can't move because if i turn it on, it will lead me to that same page and will freeze again. Any help is appreciated.

P.S. I have an HP computer windows XP

  1. "Freezing" is usually due to insufficient memory availability" for the task.

Obviously your hard drive is not fried, but you have run out of options as to get past recovery.

Either put in an additonal RAM chip; or

Put the hard drive into another, faster machine with more RAM.  and check the free space available.

Remove at least 3 GB of large files and programs.  Burn them to CD or DVD, or other external storage.

Then start over with System Restore process.
